Proof the MH370 Videos are Real
Analysis shows that videos of the final moments of missing flight MH370 are legitimate
What follows is largely made possible through the diligent efforts of citizen journalist Ashton Forbes to gather and analyze the data. I encourage anyone interested in this topic to follow him for ongoing updates as we march toward the truth.
Finally, this article is not meant to be disrespectful to families of the missing and those affected by this event. My goal is to honor them by uncovering the truth.
Read the first article in this series, The Truth About MH370 Could Change the World, for a summary of the research and analysis of possible theories.
It is mysterious when a plane goes missing. Especially a Boeing 777. It is something else when videos emerge showing the plane vanishing into thin air in a zap, as if being sucked into a portal. While the official Safety Investigation Report raises several questions about what really happened, the highly classified videos challenge our collective understanding of reality, bringing what has been science fiction into the material world. Given the staggering implications of the two videos, we need to know if they are real.
Are the videos the extraordinary evidence that would support the extraordinary claim of real-world teleportation?
Are they proof of a massive cover-up of the real story of MH370 and the highly advanced technology that snatched it from the sky?
According to avid researchers like Ashton Forbes, the answer is unequivocally yes. The videos, leaked by a military insider, are authentic and intended to blow the whistle on what may be one of the biggest deceptions of our time.
What videos?
In 2014, two videos appeared on YouTube courtesy of anonymous user RegicideAnon reportedly showing a plane interacting with unidentified flying objects. We can identify the plane in the videos as MH370 because the silhouette and color signature match MH370 and the coordinates in the stereoscopic video match the observed flight path. The dots connect.
The videos resurfaced in August 2023 on /r/ufos subreddit, which drew in new investigators like Ashton and reignited the search for truth.
The Stereoscopic Video
On May 19, 2014, approximately two months after MH370 disappeared, RegicideAnon posted a video from a “protected” source. The original post states it was received on March 12, 2014, just four days after the plane’s disappearance. Researchers have surmised that the delay between receipt and posting was due to RegicideAnon’s vetting, validation, and decision-making process. Because RegicideAnon’s identity is, well, anonymous, we have no insight into the video analysis, nor confirmation of the receipt date or origin. The sensitive and classified nature of the video explains the anonymity around it, including no direct claim of being MH370 (other than a #mh370 hashtag in his Twitter post). We do not know if RegicideAnon is the direct recipient of the leaked videos or is posting from another source, such as a private forum or the dark web. Reportedly, higher quality versions appeared on the internet weeks later. As Ashton observes, a higher quality video cannot be taken from a lower quality source.
The video, with a duration of 1 minute 8 seconds, shows two side-by-side videos of a plane making a wide turn. It is surrounded one at a time by three spherical objects moving about 10 times faster than the plane (estimated at Mach3 speed). The objects circle the plane in formation before executing a vertical pattern around it—defying gravity. As reported by Ashton, work by a fellow researcher on Reddit, u/Journey_Guide, has shown that there is a harmonic pattern to the spheres, which could provide a clue to their function. The spheres surround the plane for 40 seconds and seemingly converge on the plane before they all disappear.
The investigative team on Reddit analyzed the video and believes it is a:
“3D battlespace produced by the SBIRS (Space Based Infrared System), via SIGINT (Signals Intelligence) using data from Spy Satellite USA-229, which has a sister satellite next to it classified as debris. This allows for the proven 3D stereoscopic imagery we see in the Satellite video.”
The team narrowed in on the specific satellite, USA-229, by matching the satellite video capabilities (e.g. stereoscopic imagery) to known US assets and matching the coordinates shown in the bottom left of the video and the deduced flight path to the satellites within range at that time with the right operational capabilities. Being visible on Earth, hobbyist astronomers have catalogued the historical orbits and trajectories of these satellites.
Wikipedia identifies USA-229 as a pair of Naval Ocean Surveillance System satellites used to “locate and track ships and aircraft from the radio transmissions that they emit.” In short, they intercept signals to locate and track moving vehicles.
Ashton believes the satellite video was a direct screen recording by someone logged into the US spy database via a Citrix remote session. The operator moves the screen to keep the objects in view, showing an intent to capture this incredible event. Researchers identified the system being used as likely the Pluraview 3D desktop with Stealth or Softmouse3D controllers.
Note that there is not unanimous consensus that the side-by-side video came from USA-229. Researcher Ken St. Aubin claims, “A pair of synchronous orbiting satellites are not the only way to have stereoscopic IR video.” He also disputes that USA-229 was positioned at the correct angle to capture the video since his cloud analysis shows a perspective looking from west to east and the satellite’s coordinates place it looking east to west. Instead, the video could have been filmed by a drone with 2 FLIR pods transmitting video via relay satellite NROL-22. It is possible the US dispatched multiple drones and filmed from various angles and with varying capabilities.
Regardless of what equipment recorded the video, all signs point to it being real.
The Drone Video
RegicideAnon posted a second video on June 12, 2014, with a receipt date of June 5, 2014. It is believed that this second video with enhanced information was released due to a lack of traction from the first video and a desire for additional proof to be shared.
This video is drone footage with a color thermal layer added that reveals greater detail, such as dark trails in front of the spheres and the cold signature of the zap, which rules out an explosion. Ashton reported that the color layer was manually added by the leaker using the electro-IR camera’s onboard software. It is believed to be a Raytheon camera. Ashton also notes that the Heads Up Display (HUD) data was removed, thereby minimizing the classified data conferred in the leak. This suggests the leaker was trained in the system and knew the potential implications of what was shared.
The drone was identified as the MQ-1C Gray Eagle based on its frame and payload. According to Wikipedia, the MQ-1C Gray Eagle is a “medium-altitude, long-endurance (MALE) unmanned aircraft system (UAS)” developed by General Atomics Aeronautical Systems for the United States Army. While the drone is much slower than the 777, the drone could have been dispatched from a nearby US military base to intercept and film the event.
Could they be faked?
In the world of rapidly advancing deep fakes and rampant hoaxes, it is necessary to subject the videos to intense scrutiny, particularly since they are anonymous. Working with visual effects (VFX)/computer generated imagery (CGI) experts, Ashton concluded that it is extremely unlikely, if not impossible, that the videos could be faked in the time between the event and the videos posting using current technology and publicly available information.
Considering the received and post date of the satellite video, there was a minimum of 4 days (if we trust RegicideAnon’s original receipt date) and maximum of 72 days to create the first video. To fake the video, the creator would need the following knowledge to develop a logically consistent video reflective of key data points (info from Ashton):
What MH370 plane looked like
The turn radius of a Boeing 777 at a certain altitude and in descent
Plane’s location at the exact time of videos
Weather and cloud cover in the Nicobar Islands
The satellites in use and their capabilities
Accurate coordinate shifts relative to the location
Presentation of classified military software systems and associated hardware
Frame rate difference created by capturing satellite footage on a Citrix session
Focusing just on the clouds, researchers located a NASA satellite image at the assumed location within minutes of the critical 18:40 UTC time stamp. Comparing the cloud patterns in the NASA satellite and leaked videos, researcher Ken St. Aubin found 15 points of similarity, leading him to conclude the videos are real. While this author disagrees with him on other points, this analysis is compelling.
With this knowledge, the creator would need the technical skills, computing power, resources, and time to produce the video, including how to:
Create and light realistic volumetric clouds
Accurately animate camera views
Animate coordinate shifts
Animate the spheres and sphere trails
Accurately create the exhaust/smoke trailing the plane
Create 3D stereoscopic imagery
The creator(s) would also need to be able to match the satellite and drone videos to one another on key parameters, including the plane, clouds, and other points listed above. Additionally, for the drone thermal video, the creator would need to know what a MQ-1C drone looks like and its video capabilities. Further, it would need to know where the camera is located to get the exact camera angle. The creator would need to know what thermal looks like at a sophisticated level and how to reproduce it. To pull this all together into a convincing video, the creator must have exceptional VFX skills surpassing what we saw in Top Gun: Maverick. The timeframe to accomplish this would have been between 89 and 96 days, which is far shorter than what industry insiders say is possible.
Serial debunker Mick West claimed that a “pyromania” effect from the video game Killing Time was the source material for the zap shown in the thermal video, thereby proving the MH370 videos were manufactured. However, Ashton and others have shown that his claim has no merit. First, Killing Time was a 2D video game from the mid-1990s that was updated in July 2015. The 1990s version is far too pixelated and low quality to be source material. Mick West relies on the 2015 updated version, which was released after the 2014 MH370 videos, ruling it out as source material. Some have also seen evidence that the pyromania VFX files were recently edited to more closely resemble the MH370 videos in a fraudulent attempt to appear more similar. However, the analysis is clear that there is no match between the video game imagery and the zap in the posted video.
Finally, we need to ask what the motivation would be for such an elaborate hoax. What is accomplished by suggesting the government is lying about the fate of MH370 if it was not true? Just to confuse and discredit people and grieve the families of the missing? To have a little laugh? It’s hard to make sense of it.
Veracity Verified
While no one has yet claimed the original videos that surfaced in 2014, there is substantial evidence that they are authentic and were leaked by a military insider who knew exactly what he or she was doing. Taking these videos at face value, we are seeing a plane with over 220 people on board vanish into a black hole, aided by the precise rhythmic movements of three spheres.
Let that sink in.

"Strategies for a post-contact world" is a good approach, but what would be the approach to the contact itself? How would you do it? Whom and how to contact, how to welcome, how to make it public to everyone without seriously affecting mental state of every being on earth and so on?
I can't even come up with the single answer on the welcoming gesture, so many variations even within human cultures.
